Our programs
We focus on five strategic pillars—education, health, local development, urban development, and the environment—with the aim of contributing sustainably to the development of the communities surrounding our operations. Therefore, in every community where we have a presence, we place people at the center of our management, driving initiatives that promote their well-being and development."
Education programs
We promote the use of technology in education within our areas of direct influence, strengthening the infrastructure and resources necessary to build technological capabilities from an early age. These initiatives align with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education. Through these, we contribute to expanding learning opportunities and enhancing future employability.

At Pacasmayo, we are committed to promoting quality education in the areas where we operate. That is why we created the “Explore and Learn” program—an initiative that enhances learning through play.
Through this playful experience, students in grades one through six develop linguistic and logical-mathematical thinking skills, while simultaneously strengthening their decision-making abilities—demonstrating that learning can also be a fun and meaningful experience.

Luis Hochschild Plaut Education Fund
For over 16 years, the Luis Hochschild Plaut Educational Fund has opened its doors to a future filled with opportunities and personal fulfillment.
This program is aimed at young people in the districts of Pacasmayo, Yonan, Tembladera, and Elías Soplín Vargas, offering access to high-quality technical higher education. We are convinced that education transforms students' lives and enables them to reach their full potential.
Through the Luis Hochschild Plaut Educational Fund, these young people are prepared not only to achieve their goals but also to contribute to the progress of their communities and forge a promising future for themselves and for our country.

We promote an education that strengthens the quality of standard schooling. Through online programs, high school seniors in Pacasmayo, Tembladera, Rioja, Sechura, and nearby districts have access to courses that inspire them to be innovators and learn about new technologies. In doing so, we prepare the next generation to develop the skills they need to make a real difference in their communities.

Technology Outreach Centers
We believe that a high-quality education should be well-rounded and meet the demands of today’s world. That is why, for the past 15 years, our Technology Dissemination Center (CDT) have offered free training in office software and new technologies.
Our commitment is to bring these skills to all the communities where we work, empowering adults, teens, and children with the tools they need to succeed. We see technology as a foundation for helping people grow both personally and professionally.

Building Life Projects Together
The 'Building Life Projects Together' initiative supports and guides teenagers as they construct a solid path toward their future. Developed in partnership with Intelta – Radio Cutivalú, this initiative strengthens socio-emotional skills and key competencies, enabling young people to face life's challenges in a conscious and responsible manner.

Entrepreneurs in Action Program
We work in close collaboration with the Pacasmayo Center for Technical-Productive Education (CETPRO). We funded the equipping of their workshops to generate enhanced opportunities for technical-productive training. Thanks to this investment, we provide students with the necessary tools for effective learning. In doing so, we strengthen the productive capacities and professional development of the men and women of the Pacasmayo district.

Thanks to our strategic alliance with SENCICO (National Training Service for the Construction Industry), we provide full scholarships to young people in our project areas. These scholarships offer access to high-quality technical training in fields such as Interior Design, Building Construction, and Topography. Through this initiative, we boost their professional growth and contribute to the community's development—providing real opportunities to transform their futures and those of their families.
We are convinced that technical training is a vital tool for progress. That’s why we ensure these young people gain the skills they need to successfully enter the workforce and contribute to the sustainable development of the country.

Health programs
We drive preventive health through social programs (anemia and youth), medical campaigns, infrastructure equipment, and the strengthening of healthcare personnel.
Together against anemia
This program is designed for pregnant mothers and children aged 0 to 3 in the Elías Soplín Vargas district (Rioja, San Martín). Its goal is simple: to transform lives by improving health right from the very start.
By focusing on preventing and treating anemia, while providing nutritional support during early childhood, we help build a strong foundation for better development and a future full of opportunities.

I choose to live well
The "Yo Elijo Vivir Bien" (I Choose to Live Well) project aims to make a positive impact on teenagers aged 12 to 17 across five high schools in the Elías Soplín Vargas district (Rioja, San Martín). Through this initiative, we promote life skills, healthy habits, and the wellbeing needed to make informed decisions.
This project is the result of a joint effort led by the Segunda Jerusalén Health Center, with strategic support from the local municipality and Cementos Selva. It reflects a shared commitment to the development of the district's youth.

Operation Smile
We actively support Operation Smile, an international non-profit dedicated to providing specialized medical care for children and young people with cleft lip and cleft palate.
Our contribution covers the full cost of surgeries and ensures the patients' well-being by providing air travel for them and a companion, along with lodging, meals, and follow-up appointments. Every restored smile reflects our commitment to growth and our hope for a better future for our community.

Medical campaigns
We work to contribute to healthier lives within our communities through medical campaigns that provide free care in specialties such as general medicine, pediatrics, dentistry, and gynecology. Additionally, we promote prevention through medical screenings for the early detection of diseases, as well as educational talks on healthy habits, in partnership with healthcare professionals and local organizations.

Local development programs
We develop programs and projects that boost the economic capacities of our communities because we believe in their potential. We help participants to strengthen their skills, improving their infrastructure, and promoting their products in local, regional, and national markets, with a commitment to supporting them so they may emerge and grow sustainably—in alignment with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) No. 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth.

Urban development programs
We work to bridge gaps in basic infrastructure, with a particular focus on roadways, sidewalks, and public spaces. We pursue this objective through a sustainable infrastructure approach—one that fosters a sense of ownership among citizens—and a resilient one, ensuring that our projects can withstand the effects of climate change. This effort is directly aligned with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) No. 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, and is complemented by our commitment to protecting the cultural and natural heritage within our direct areas of influence.
By 2030, we aim for Pacasmayo to serve as a benchmark for contributing to local development through this vision
Dreams in Concrete
"Sueños en Concreto" (Dreams in Concrete) began in 2022 as a pilot program to replace dirt floors with concrete ones in the homes of our neighboring communities. Our goal was to provide families with safer, more dignified, and resilient housing.
In 2024, we scaled this initiative into a larger project integrated with our operations to better meet the housing needs of the areas where we work. By collaborating closely with families at every stage, this project strengthens local infrastructure and promotes social inclusion, safety, and long-term well-being.
To date, we have supported families in:
- La Libertad: Pacasmayo
- Piura: Veintiséis de Octubre and Sechura
- Cajamarca: Tembladera
- San Martín: Elías Soplín Vargas
Through this project, every home that builds a concrete floor with us represents a real step toward a better quality of life for families across northern Peru.

Obras por impuestos
Through our core business, we contribute to infrastructure development in northern Peru using the Works for Taxes (OxI) mechanism, significantly helping to close social and economic gaps across various regions.
These projects demonstrate the effectiveness of this model and reaffirm that collaboration between the public and private sectors is the most direct way to accelerate Peru's development.

"My Court" Program
Working closely with neighborhood boards and local authorities, we improve sports infrastructure in our direct areas of influence (ZID). Through the implementation of the "Mi Canchita" program, we aim to encourage community ownership of public spaces.
This effort does more than just promote sports; it also creates a space for cultural activities, strengthening collective well-being and a sense of belonging among neighbors.

Environmental development programs
We develop environmental conservation projects and initiatives within our areas of operation, contributing directly to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 15: Life on Land. These initiatives include an environmental education component, which provides communities with the opportunity to manage and protect high-value spaces, thereby strengthening their resilience to the impacts of climate change.
Virrilá Estuary
With a firm commitment to a sustainable future, we are proud to continue our history of collaboration and environmental stewardship.
Since taking over the Technical Secretariat of the Virrilá Estuary Ramsar Site Management Committee in 2022 (located in Sechura, Piura), we have worked alongside local authorities and the community to preserve this vital ecosystem of international importance.

Illescas national reserve
We are implementing actions focused on the conservation of the Illescas National Reserve in Sechura (Piura), in alignment with the Master Plan developed alongside various public and private stakeholders. Furthermore, we hold the presidency of its Management Committee, reaffirming our commitment to protecting this natural area, which is invaluable to both the region and the country.

Sembrando vida
With a firm commitment to mitigating the effects of climate change and promoting sustainability, we are continuing our “Sembrando Vida” (Sowing Life) project. This initiative is developed in coordination with the Carlos Malpica Rivarola Public Technical Institute in Tembladera, Cajamarca. Through this project, we aim to drive afforestation and reforestation efforts, strengthening the region's sustainable development and creating a positive impact on both the environment and the community.

Santa Julia Wetlands
We are driving the restoration of the Santa Julia Wetlands in the Veintiséis de Octubre district of Piura. This project is carried out in collaboration with the EDUCCA program of the local municipality and other partner institutions.
